About Enactus

A Global Network of Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Founded in the United States in 1975, Enactus is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders to create positive social and environmental change.

Originally established as Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), the organization expanded internationally in 1995 and was officially renamed Enactus in 2012. The name represents three core principles: Entrepreneurial, Action, and Us, reflecting its belief in the power of collaboration and entrepreneurship to improve lives and strengthen communities.

Today, Enactus connects university students, academic institutions, and business leaders across six continents. Through hands-on community projects, students apply their knowledge, creativity, and business skills to address real-world challenges, develop sustainable solutions, and generate measurable social impact.

One of its major initiatives is the Enactus World Cup, an international competition launched in 2001 that brings together outstanding student teams to present their entrepreneurial projects and demonstrate their contributions to society.

It All Started With a Serum.

Fungjai began with a bamboo mushroom skincare serum developed by the Faculty of Pharmacy at Srinakharinwirot University. Our team was brought together later, when a professor selected students from different teams in a university startup competition to form what we called our "Dream Team." Each of us brought different skills, but we shared one goal: to turn an existing community project into something bigger.

We Came for One Product. We Found So Much More.

What started as a visit to learn about the serum quickly became something else. As we walked around the community and spoke with local residents, we discovered duck farming, goat farming, and other products that had potential. We realized the community already had valuable resources. They just needed more opportunities to turn them into sustainable businesses.
